DRC 09: Orchesis Scrapbooks 1938-1973

Orchesis Scrapbooks document the dance club Orchesis at the University of Arizona, containing clippings, programs, correspondence, photographs, and brochures from the years 1938-1971. Orchesis was composed of 15 dancers, most often female. It was an influential force in the establishment of the committee on dance, the dance minor, and the bachelor degree in dance. Renowned members of Orchesis include Stevie Eller and Francis Smith Cohen.
